Widetrackin' - The Fabulous Pack

Featured Replies

OK folks, I have a very obscure song for you. I can honestly tell you, that I have (or had) the original 45 pictured in the video. The link is a video to a concert promo and 3 songs by Terry Knight and the Pack (later called the Fabulous Pack after Terry Knight left). Terry was very popular in Michigan and the Midwest especially.

The first song starts at 28 second in. It is called "Widetrackin'" and I think you will like it.

Terry Knight didn't not have much to do with this particular song. If this style of music or the singer sounds vaguely familiar then you get some extra brownie points. Two members of "the pack" were Mark Farner and Don Brewer, who went on to form Grand Funk Railroad, another "local" band from my home town of Flint, Michigan.

Consider this my Christmas present to you. Enjoy and Merry Christmas to all of you.

Here is Wikipedia's detail on Terry Knight and the Pack as well.

Not bad, listening to it at work. :willy_nilly:

I think I've heard of Terry Knight before, possibly from my Dad.
