front turn lense glue removal

Featured Replies

just got a new lense in for the front turn signal, must of been siliconed on at factory to seal it had to fight to get it off. what can I use to remove the silicone from the bulb housing? have it sitting in some gas and its working some, is there something that will work better and faster that you know of?

Pictures? I'd use a hook shaped pick tool to loosen the sealant by hand. Gasoline? Might be too harsh for the shiny finish such that it might not be shiny again.

And the gasoline vapors are a little to explosive for me to use it like this.
