I'm waiting for the other locals to notice, I know it'll stir up the Unknown crew. I mainly think it's because of the age group with them (18-20) and rumors and gossip spread like wildfire, not to mention, the shit talking behind everyone's back...screw that noise. I'm happy I left, no more worrying about the meets, going to certain shows, etc. Me and a few of the ex members of Unknown, we meet up every now and then. So far, Sunday night is becoming a weekly thing for us, it's just seven of us. We aren't a crew, we just meet up, chill, shoot the shit, then go eat at Friday's for a few beers and a good time.

Yup. It's funny, we were talking about just having a crew that night. No club BS like Unknown and every other local club. We won't have our name plastered all over the net, or Facebook. We'll have our meets, do a show here and there, and plan out some cruises for the warmer weather. The only way people will know of our crew is by the decal tags on our cars. There's seven of us now, but I'd want no more than ten people apart of it. No gloating about it, whatever. It's just between the crew. And we aren't just crew members, we're all friends, and we all share a common hobby.

Of course, this idea won't really take flight until next spring. Our meets during the coming months will basically show me if this really is a good or bad idea.

Also why I don't don't do car clubs. I made the local site i run CTCarClub.com, but its just a place for people to post. No "membership" and I refuse to make decals even though a few wanted them. It just invites drama.

Mark -- Malibu's are nice. Can get a nice cheap GMAC loan like 0% or 1.9% or something on outgoing 2010's now too.

I'm one of a handful of 'staff' that run a car club through our university. It's a lot of fun, we get together at monthly-ish meets to hang out, we have a little forum to discuss our cars and university life, and all we have are simple 'UCCarClub' decals to stick on our cars (See my quarter panel windows). No drama whatsoever, it runs pretty smoothly.

School ones work out well too cause they're kinda open too.

The one at my schools going downhill...

They have meetings every Thursday night... but not till 9PM!! I commute.. can't make it, and they wont move it to weekends or earlier or anything...

Their car show also used to be nice.... good number of domestics and stuff showing up, dozens of 600+whp cars... HUGE...

This year they gave the "Best Domestic" award to a 300C with two tone paint, and LCD screens everwhere. No performance mods at all. Needless to say not one other award went to the domestic crowd that showed up. All import shit.. .

Well if it makes you feel any better, mine is one of two domestics. The rest are euros and Japanese cars.
