Good morning Mr beck! I joined this group just to say how much I enjoyed reading your posts here.

Thanks for your kind words Brian.  Do you own a Pontiac today?  When I joined here I had 1, a 1970 Trans Am.  Now I have 3.  In addition to the TA I acquired a 1970 Ram Air IV, 4-speed, GTO Judge.  Palladium Silver with a black interior and black vinyl top.  Today it's completely disassembled and receiving a rotisserie restoration.  And my latest buy 3 weeks ago was a 1971 455 H.O., 4-speed, GTO Judge.  Laurentian Green with a black interior.  I'm probably going to leave the vinyl top off of the silver Judge when it goes to paint but not sure.  The green Judge has some battle scars in it's paint but still shows well and I'm going to drive and enjoy it as-is for now.  Musclecar Memories in Lincoln Nebraska just installed Vintage Air and a few other upgrades including a factory center console and tilt wheel in my Trans Am while getting it ready for the Copperstate 1000 here in April.  I'm driving my truck & trailer to Nebraska on Tuesday to bring it home.  All the best.

Gentlemen,

Yesterday I came across another picture of my father Bud Beck.  Earlier in this thread I posted a black & white photo of my dad taken on December 4, 1967 as he was signing his franchise paperwork making him Scottsdale’s original Pontiac dealer.  The photo below I took on April 15, 1997, almost 30 years later on his last day as a Pontiac dealer.  Well, I had actually been the dealer principal for a decade but it was still Bud Beck Pontiac.  It was a bittersweet day for both of us but I was certain that GM’s coming bankruptcy was inevitable (I was right but it took 5 years longer than I expected) and I didn’t want to go bankrupt with them.  I had a great offer and took it.  My dad is smiling here but we were both agonizing over the end of Bud Beck Pontiac.  All the best.

I love this sort of personal history. Thanks for sharing.

Your Dad was awesome. Such an honest and very very fair man. Loved his dealership and his employees very much.
