I honestly don't think this is for a Pontiac Catalina. The crown is the key here. I think this is an emblem for a Catalina Tiesco guitar that was made in Japan in the 1960s. Here is another similar logo for the guitar - from eBay.

I am not aware of Pontiac ever using a crown. If they did, it would have most likely have been in Canada. However, Canadian full size Pontiacs through the 1960s were called Laurentians or Parisiennes. US models would be called Bonneville and Catalina and the US models have not had a crown associated with them.
