Hi guys I have a 1998 pontiac bonneville ssei. the problem i am have is the RPM meter is reading worng and the check engine light is showing a miss fire. so i replace spark plugs and wires and coils and the ignition control. I have no clue what is going on please help!

What is the trouble code you are getting with the check engine light?

As for the tachometer being off, I would inspect the crankshaft sensor. See if it is dirty or damaged. This is where the PCM picks up the actual engine speed from.
