here in London we are restoring a 68 Delmont 88.

the US reg was 6KXVO71.

does anyone have any history for this car?

Some states Dept of Motor Vehicles (but not all) will provide limited past owner/address/information for a fee. Certain personal identifiable information (PII) is protected by federal law and cannot be provided. Most likely they can tell you if it was registered in their state and what city. Laws/information/fees vary state to state.

I would recommend you reach out to the R E Olds Transportation Museum in Lansing Michigan if you are looking for information on the Delmont 88 itself.
