68 GTO Aurora Conversion - Speaker placement

Recommended Posts

68 GTO Convertible, factory AC

I'm having a Aurora radio conversion. I've been thinking about speaker types and placement. Has anyone worked through the limitations that a convertible places on speaker types and placement?

I have a '72 Lemans convertible and it also has factory A/C. I have installed Custom Autosound speaker kick panels and a dual speaker where the stock front speaker use to be up front. I have a pair of JVL 6 x 9 speakers mounted in the stock speaker locations behind the rear seats. I poked holes in the jute insulation to allow the sound to come through more clearly.
