  1. Hey guys,

My daughter played with the dome light switch Thursday night causing the battery to deplete itself. We recharged it overnight but now I have "SERVICE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM" displayed in the dash and both remotes for keyless entry won't work at all!

I tried to relearn the remotes but the DIC won't activate the sequence (Instead of displaying REMOTE RELEARN ACTIVE it flashes and comes back to the press to start remote relearn).

I also wanted to relearn the TPMS sensors but I need my remotes to activate the sequence!

Does anyone know what to do?

Most TPMS systems run through the RCDLR (remote control door lock receiver) It is possible that the system reset and both need to be relearned.

Sadly, I do not have access to GMDealerworld any longer (Only downside of quitting my dealership job), and can not look up the process for relearning, but I would start there. And since the remotes are inop, you need a techII to do that.

It is also possible that the fuse for the RCDLR is blown, depending on how you jumpstarted or charged the car back up. That would be the easiest to check.

Either way I would just take it to the dealership and let them fix it under warranty, just omit the 'daughter ran the battery down' part... :) (Of course as long as you are under 36k miles)

  2. The most awesome thing is that I dont do individual sales... :welcomeFP::D :D

But what I CAN do, is hook you up with whatever vendor you prefer and help with a discount... now that isnt happening yet, since I just started the job YESTERDAY. But be patient my children...

  3. So, its official! I started at Magnuson in Ventura today.

The first thing I did was rebuild a 5.3L SSR blower. AMAZING. New Rotor assembly, new housing, new bearings, press out press in, grease here, loctite there... torque torque torque, set belt and DONE!

In reality it took us about 4 hours, but mostly because the guy that was teaching me was explaining how everything works and the right way to assemble. It was awesome.

MARK~!~ time to save your pennies!

  4. Dood. I was reppin the board! Mitch is the coolest guy around in a SRM G8. I am jealous that hes got the middle cup holders in the back seat & bluetooth built in... but whatever! I HAVE TWO LESS CATS!

LOL! Mitch is cool people and a great edition here!

    :lol2:

  5. We can't help it that you're responsible, I'll buy you lunch, but not if your husband is coming, I'm not buying 3 meals and gas!

I was kidding. And my husband doesnt do car things. Especially something that requires 6ish hours of driving so that I can stand around and talk cars.
