  4. Pony Wars @ the O.K. Corral... On paper the 2015 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack car has everything it needs to best the aging Chevy Camaro SS 1LE architecture on a race track: More power, lighter weight, and bigger brakes. But based on Motor Trends testing of the two cars in straight-line, skidpad, brake testing, and road racing it doesnt. Why? www.s.c.com

  8. Serious dirt on the revolutionary next-gen Vette GMs head of global product development, Mark Reuss, confirms that the company is working on the next Corvette. Our sources elaborate on this salient piece of information, telling us that, after 61 years of evolution, the C8 will be revolutionary. The new Corvette will be the mid-engined American Dream Machine that Chevy couldnt, until now, muster the courage to build. In truth, the factory is still not prepared to detail whats coming, which is why youre looking at the 2017 model year through our freshly waxed crystal ball. http://www.roadandtrack.com/features/c8-chevrolet-corvette-will-be-a-mid-engined-american-supercar-cdsynd

Cadillac Expands to Become Separate Business Unit, Adds New York Headquarters New York As part of the continued expansion of Cadillac, General Motors today announced a strategic realignment that will establish the flagship brand as a separate business unit. In addition, the new Cadillac organization will expand to New York with a new global headquarters opening in 2015. www.gm.media.com
  12. With General Motors announcement to close manufacturing operations in Australia by 2017, the curtain is about to fall on the countrys domestic auto manufacturing for good. However, the home-built models will go out with a major bang. Holden Specialty Vehicles (HSV) has announced it will build a limited-edition LSA-powered ute model named the GTS Maloo. For those of you unfamiliar with Down Under lingo, the closest equivalent the U.S. has seen to a ute was the Chevrolet El Camino and Ford Ranchero car-based pickups we saw from the late 50s to late 70s. That said, no El Camino, even the revered SS models, can compete with the GTS Maloos thundering 577 hp and 546 lb-ft put out by its supercharged 6.2L LSA V-8 engine. If that engine code sounds familiar, thats because its been well proven in the Cadillac CTS-V and Camaro ZL1. www.truckin.web.com
