1994 GP Window Switch help

Featured Replies

I recently bought a window switch to replace the old one in my car. The driver side window still rolls down but the switch does not roll the passenger side window at all. I know its not the motor because the window still rolls down using the passenger side switch. I went out and bought this window switch off ebay. I didn't realize by looking at the pictures that the prongs do not match to the original one i have. I thought i could just move the needed pin over to get it to work since everything should still be the same but no luck. I got the switch to go in but blew a fuse and none of the dash lights wanted to turn on afterwards until i replaced the fuse. My question - how can i get this thing to work with my car? I already tried looking for the original switch using the part number written on the side of it but no luck. I have noticed though that the switch I bought is very common and I figure I might as well try to get it to work since it is so readily available. Any help and suggestions is appreciated. I will attach some pictures to give a better idea of what I am talking about.
For reference, the Alps branded switch (right side) is the original one and the left is the aftermarket one.
