Hey Gang, It's been awhile but we're still here.
Recently searching the web for upcoming events to add to my list of possible things to do, I came across an obscure ad posted on a site that wasn't what I would call a main stream. Anyhow two things caught my eye the location and the statement of being the
LARGEST COLLECTION OF PONTIAC GTO's ON THE EAST-COAST.
Now I thought Really? They better be able to back up a statement like that so I inquired.
They promptly replied to me inquiry and welcomed us to attend the FREE event.
I thought about it and was on the fence due to it being a 4.5 hr run one way. My thoughts were if I make that run and it sux I'll be pissed.
We tossed it back and forth and then decided WTH so early morning the day of the event we hit the road.
I'll let the following link to my pics finish the story...
Enjoy!

What a way to start the season

Yea we're ready. Have it set to record incase we are not around.
For me following that car is like a wreck, just can't help but look.
That poor liitle Gold '63

The Lap Belt Buckle shown above is the Pontiac Deluxe Seat Belts for 1966.
-
IMO they should have left it as it sat and donated to the new Pontiac Museum.
Was a neat piece of Pontiac Racing History.
Silly money for none original, body, drive train, interior and so on.
But hey to each there own.
-
Yea that site has been up for several years and whoever set it up has a lot of freetime.
There is a 1967 Lemans OHC Sprint listed, a fellow Cammer from Italy has that "STAR"
Here is a link to his post on it.

Great Place for an event. Have been there many times in the past.
POCI has already had a convention there and it was a good site.
Also been out to the Pontiac Nationals- AKA; AMES TRI-Power Nationals.
Another great event.
Agree with the Air & Space Museum being a must see while there.
If you have the time you may also go and check out the Packard Museum, it too is a great place ti vistit...

Well she’s still here and we’re still not completely finished, but are they ever?
Had it out on Turkey day, the weather was just too nice not to take her out.
But it’s starting to get cold around here, so I guess she'll have to wait some more.

CORRECTION;
While trying to locate more info, on the '40 I came across this Street Rodder blip and it states it's running a '74 455.
-
Yes that '40 was a one sweet ride.
That burgundy paint was so deep.
Sporting ’62 KH 8-lug wheels and riding on an air ride system.
Driveline was a late model 400 with FI.
Owner wasn’t around so no under hood shots.
The interior was outstanding; with lots of handmade pieces

Showtime gang, images from the11th Annual show held in Henderson NC.
Truly and must see event and a real sensory overload
Lots of great iron and Pontiacs were on hand; the last shots are the '63 Lemans drag car we built.
It was cool to drive her down main street and give it a quick blast a few times with the sound bouncing off the old buildings it was excellent, my ears are still ringing

Not OPG it's held at an old Pontiac Dealership in Richmond VA.
Now just Buke-GMC Dealer

Have always supported this show in the past but have not been out since '09, figured it was time.
Great weather and a fair turnout.
Enjoy the slides...

Well finally took her out and about, It was good to have among her peers.
Still have some stuff to complete but so far so good

Here are more pics in a slideshow form from a fellow PYer;

Wasn’t planning on going up but at the last moment we said what the hell, Glad we did not only did we get to look over some real nice Pontiacs but we saved a lot of $$ on a load of parts.
Nice long 15 hour day
Here are some of the Pontiac eye candy on site, Enjoy the slideshow…
-
Well looks like she'll see her 1st Cruise-in this weekend.
Beat our deadline by almost a full week
-
That Bonny Wagon is awsume!
And it is cool to see a Cammer as well, they are rarely seen but I did hear they do exsist
-
Well we had set a "Ready by summer" deadline for this Little Indian and I think we are going to make it.
Spent all day Sunday re-hanging and aligning the forward sheet goods what a PITA this old car has been massaged many times over the years, then add to the mix some NOS and some re-worked metal and you really have to bust some knuckles to get it set.
All and All I’m very pleased based on what we had to start with, but will say it is a driver for sure, not a show car.
A real good 10 footer IMHO. We’re down to a few more trim parts, glass seal, lights and bumper.
Been test driving her around and she seems to be doing well for something that has been silent for so long.

'65 Cat Is hands down for me, I've said it before. I'm a sucker for Green eyed Ladies & Green cars
-
Well it took longer then it should (or at least I think so) but she now has fire!
Fired her up for the 1st time in way to long but it was great to wake the heart & sole again.

When I found out that they had bought a RUST FREE 69 Tempest OHC car to use on the 1st build ,
I immediately called the Camming commission to have a stop order filed
