  1. Yeah not calling you a liar or anything but I have to agree. the van weighs 4300 lbs and I only have 200-210 whp and I had it timed with the Torque app and I ran a 17.1 1/4 mile. 0-60 in 8.9 seconds, like the guys are saying, somethin just ain't adding up

  2. Yeah take it from this guy (19, living with mom at the moment) car payments suck. Mine's only $120 a month but it still is a tie down, just another monthly bill like paying my car insurance twice over ( who wants to do that?? ) If you're selling the GA I'd highly consider buying it because Des and I are looking for a car at low cost, that would be nice and not in rough condition. We were talking brand new, but I'm buying me a mofmoin truck. Keep it, or sell it to me, plain and simple :lol2:

  3. I've gotten an idea from a fellow FP member and have decided to throw a few of my things up for sale here. Nothing too special although the 3.8L Series 2 TB only has about 4000 miles on it, so I'm asking pretty close to new price.

    Here's the pictures:

I am asking on craigslist $200 obo for the TB, but I'll ask for $150 obo + shipping here, since you guys are the awesomest.

and then for the badging that I have:

For the badges, I'd like to get $12 + shipping for the GTP badges, for the Grand am GT's, $2 each for the small and $3 for the large, and for the Pontiac Dart... We'll go with $5. All plus shipping, the badges will me shipped USPS and we can discuss shipping on the Throttle Body if you'd like to purchase it!

  4. haha I'd love the G8, but Des would be the one driging it 80% of the time and she's not too experienced behind the wheel of a car, and I'm just afraid it'd get crashed, even possibly by me. I am 19, yes. I've been working in customer service for 7 years (yes, since I was 12, in fact between ages of 13 and 15 managed a 10 cabin family resort) and now work PT at Cub Foods 39 hours p/wk making 20-22k. Getting my next raise soon putting me around 25k and Des also makes about 25k right now. We WOULD have a co-signer and thank you Ryan for the support as the FT job I'm waiting to hear back from will put me at about 35k/yr. I will have a co signer and have had credit a credit card for almost two years now. I have great credit 700+ score and actually just got pre-approved for a $10,000 credit limit (NO THANK YOU) but I can do it. I have faith, credit, and hard work as a history. Have been at my current job for over 3 years and am picking up a second job.

Once again, Ryan thank you for the support and to all others, I can work hard to do what I want, and can achieve anything. We live in America, the land of dreams and "roads paved of gold" haha. I got this, don't you worry about it.

  5. That wouldn't really effect it if I were really giving it the hammer, would it? I figured that would only make a difference when running on cruise on the highway. Plus, the lady really likes the G8 so crimson, you'd have to talk her back into a GTO, I really like the sedan too, obviously I'm a fan of larger vehicles if you've read my post of past cars and see I drive a minivan :D

  6. Thanks you guys! Yeah, the G8 and moving are for sure. the truck is a hope because snow sucks. Mark, it's too bad we kept evaluating what we wanted when we were thinking of new cars, first to mind was the GTO and you'd have a buyer, but we started thinking sedan because we'll probably have a family to drag around within the next 5 years, so a vette powered sedan it is haha. Once again, thanks guys.

  7. Blahhhh F this. I really want to do it but I'm just going to buy it and have it sit here on the work bench for two years before I can do it. It'd be one thing if I was loaded for cash, but, I'm trying to buy a truck, move out, pay off the van, and get the G8. Things are okay with cash right now but I just don't feel like investing $300 in a work-bench decoration! And then people's downside opinions really kinda just shot me through the floor this last 24 hours on different situations other than just the supercharger. :)

  8. I'm not mistaking you for anybody. Honestly, I could also care less if I'm faster than you. But, when I'm running a 4500 lb vehicle that can keep up with a sports car, I'm happy. Everyone's here to say "hey, you're unique, that's cool do your thing" and when they disagree they take it to another forum and go on there way. Unlike grown men who have to take their glory out on someone who's 19 driving a minivan, and doing what he loves, unless I have something good to say, I generally just keep it to myself. Some people would call that Minnesota Nice, I just call It not being a prick.

Now, I think it'd be highly respected by not only myself, but probably Ringo, Chris, Mark and a few of the others that you just hit the back button and go find someone else to irritate.

By the way, good luck to ya on POTM, have a nice day. :)
