Pontiac video

I found this while searching for car songs. I remember seeing parts of it in commercials, but don’t recall ever seeing the whole thing. Supposedly sent to dealers for the 1990 model year. Thought some on here might like seeing it.

Frosty’s recollection of Jim Wangers comments about TV commercials inspired me to share it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GFp0vC6Rpjs

Great video 31pontiac. The original musical score comes from the 1988 commercial / music video. Here is the original 1988 video, which showcases the entire 1988 Pontiac line up.

I am fond of this video from Tanya Tucker for the 1980 Trans Am. Obscure but fun.

Of course, the one that started it all, Paul Revere and the Raiders and the Judge!

Here is the full length single.

Nice collection of Pontiac commercials from the past. Commercials start around 2:46.

I am an old fart and to me American cars built after 1972 are not very interesting.

I am weird, I LOVED fullsize monsters. I never really understood the hype of muscle cars back in the day: Where I live nearly all Transams and other musclecars were owned by low class pimps and hookers. I loved Corvettes though.

My Dad was the head in the bodyshop of a GM importer in Switzerland, so we got to know these cars early on. My Grandpa was wealthy enough to drive Alfa Romeos and later a 59 Maserati Coupe. We were not.

The first American car we owned was a 63 Belair. Then we got a 1965 Bonneville Convertible with bucket seats in pristine condition. I still own the Belair and the Bonnie. By now I have a 65 Catalina 2dht and two other 63 Chevies.

My favourites are Pontiacs from 1959 and 1965. And does not matter how ugly it is, the Aztek was actually a very practical vehicle. Similar to a FIAT Multipla of the Fifties. They were ugly and very expensive and collectable by now.

I love the cheesiness of those commercials. The stupid music and the girl in red looking at the Firebird squatting with spread legs to study the lines of the car!
