'61 Bonneville parts desperately needed ...please πŸ™πŸΌ

Featured Replies

Hey people,

I desperately need to source some stainless steel body mouldings for my '61 Bonneville.

4x pieces in all...the inner and outer for both the passenger side rear door and rear ΒΌ panel/fender.

Please get in touch if you have any, know anyone who does, or know where I can get some.

Photo attached for reference.

Thanks πŸ‘

I've just gone through the list mate - I only saw one strip that looked like it may be compatible, but it was rejected by the site when I keyed in my model?
Am I missing something?

Thanks mate, I spoke with Frank last week - he's got nothing for me.
I've got a couple of other leads over there atm, that are looking promising🀞🏼

cool Paul, justA keep us up to date with what parts you need and be mindfull that your damaged trim can be saved if you find the right guy to repair it... i have a mate ( pete) who is very good with tenderly fixing stainless trim... so if you get to a point where you cant replace a part ... you can send it over the ditch and i can get him to make it look beutifull again cheers

Ah thanks mate, that's justA so nice☺️
I had a fella that promised me the world, then called me yesterday to say he couldn't help.
My repairer says he knows of someone who may be able to have a go, so that's the next step.
And...I've got a few US irons in the fire, too.
Fingers crossed something will show up soon.
The claim has been approved - $11500! The Assessor said that it is a well-loaded quote but knows the repairer and is confident the job will be done well. Evidently he does a lot of work for Bowdens.

So really , it is the repairer who will need to sort the trim . If he wants his 11 k !

From what I saw there was no damage to the b or c pillars so your car will be fine . A door a rear quarter, paint … and the biggy !!! The trim !!!!!

Paul i hope they are going to paint the whole side of the car too ?

Not justA the door and rear quarter ?

UPDATE:

Hey everyone,

I've managed to track down the body moldings I need, in Arizona.
Steve Barcak from Pontiac Heaven has been collecting vintage Pontiacs for years, so they wouldn't get crushed. Great guy to deal with.
He has even offered to drive my parts 30 miles to the closest Shipping Agent for me.
So...with the claim now approved ($11500 - money should land in my account this week, thanks Shannon's πŸ™πŸΌ), the parts soon to be on their way, all should be well 🀞🏼
As usual, thank you all for your advice and support - stay tuned for pics of the finished product 😊

I am glad Steve could help you out, as I said he helped me out with some hard to find parts for my 71 Enforcer!
