Great calendar! Thanks to everyone who had a part in producing it.

Sorry Rob, you missed a good one! I'll let you know if I run across another 65.

Happy to report that a friend from the Morning Maniacs car club has decided to purchase the car. Nice to see friend's car sold to another friend so I can watch progress of the restoration. RIP Don Mills, your car is in good hands again.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing them. No doubt there are many great memories that go along with them.

I got my new carpet from Legendary Auto Interiors as a Christmas present and installed it the day after Christmas. It was a fun project and I'm very happy with the quality and the fit of the carpet. I also was able to see all of the floor pan from the topside and was pleased to not find any rust. I included a couple of the pictures of the "before" as well. It didn't look as bad in the car as it does on the garage floor, but you can see it was time.

I looked at this car yesterday and proved that it's not all original, but the frame and driveline still look brand new from the frame-off restoration work done years ago. All the floor pans and trunk pan appear to be in excellent rust free condition. All of the wiring and plumbing also appears to be very well done. Unfortunately everything soft in the interior will have to be replaced. The body is bare metal with some filler in low spots, but no signs of collision repair that I could see. Front fenders and hood are still painted and will need to be media blasted and started from scratch. The car was originally painted Mission Beige with a Parchment interior. I have more pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them.

A longtime friend of mine passed away recently and his widow is wanting to sell the last of his GTOs. He had already dismantled it and was just starting on the body work.
I believe the car is all there, plus several extra GTO parts that go with it.
It’s a 65 4-speed/3 2BBL car that I’m told is all original. I’m working with another friend of the family to verify those facts.
Looking to see any of you know of anyone looking for a project car, or if you have any idea of the value of the car? It is located northwest of McKinney, Texas.
I’m including some pictures and have more if you care to see them. I believe they want to sell everything at once to the same buyer, including all of the extra parts.
Thanks,
Rick

I'm in the process of refurbishing the seatbacks and lower trim on my bucket seats and replacing the chrome piping.

Thanks for the votes. I know it was a tough choice to pick one from each group.

I'm thinking about replacing the carpet in my 67 GTO. The interior is original with the exception of the carpet and dash pad. The carpet has been replaced and was poorly done. Looking for suggestions on where to buy the new carpet, Anyone have experience with the carpet from Ames Performance or OPGI? Definitely want something molded to fit the floor pan and will probably stay with the old style loop vs. cut pile. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to FP, great looking cars.

I would sure like to see Stratman's 68 as POTM one more time before he sells it, but I understand there are others who may not have had the honor of having their car as POTM.

Pat, you and Nancy are in our thoughts and prayers. As much fun as it can be sometimes, you are right, it's only a car. We out last some and others outlast us.

So sorry to see this advertisement. Somebody is going to get a real gem.

Welcome to FP. Great looking 67 from a fellow 67 owner.

Received the new seat bumpers today from Ames Performance and decided to locate the screw holes with a straight pin on the sides that never had the bumpers.. That worked perfectly and they are all installed. It made a world of difference in the way the seat back feel. Nice and solid and straight from one side to the other. The bumpers from Ames matched the one good one I had perfectly.

Thanks guys. Ordered a set of four bumpers from Ames Performance yesterday.

Thanks JUSTA6, I did feel what I think are screw holes in the seat frames and found a set of four of the bumpers that I plan to order. Appreciate the feedback and suggestions.

I have a somewhat silly question for anyone that has a 66-67 Lemans/GTO.
I noticed that my driver's side seat back tends to lean further back on the right (inner) side and a little investigation found that the rubber pad was missing off the plate for the bumper. Then I noticed there has never been a bumper on the left (outer) side of the driver's seat. My first thought was that maybe it's not necessary with the seat back locking mechanism on that side. So I looked at the passenger side that also tends to lean further back on the left (inner) side. That seat has an intact bumper on the right (outer) side the same side as the seat back locking mechanism so that blew my theory about the driver's side seat not having a second bumper. I'm including a picture that I found on the web, (not my seat) that shows the seat having one bumper so mine is not the only only one like this.
I would like to put a bumper on both sides of both seats, but I don't want to punch a hole in what are supposed to be the original seat covers not knowing if there's a place to mount the second bumper on each seat. Notice the seat back (same as mine) has the heavy bracket on the seat back that should match up with bumpers on both sides of the seat lower.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Steering Wheel Restoration 67 GTO
in Pontiac Interior Discussion/Questions
Posted
I decided it was time to restore the steering wheel on my 67 GTO. As typical the plastic had shrunk over the years and created a couple of gaps around the rim, one being about 3/8 of an inch and another one about 1/4 inch. Also at the intersection of each spoke and the rim, there were gaps where the outer edge trim screw goes through the spoke. I researched the various kits and found that I could source the components from various vendors cheaper. The kits seemed to have too much PC7 Epoxy so I purchased a smaller quantity at Lowes for $5.98 and had more than enough to fill all my gaps. I purchased the SEM Plastic Adhesion Promoter, SEM Landau Black Interior Spray, and Spray MAX 2K Glamour Clear Coat from Amazon. I was very pleased a how the SEM black spray flowed and covered the mismatching old finish and epoxy repairs. I highly recommend the Spray MAX clear coat and it also built up and maintained a high gloss finish. It dried to a hard finish in 24 hours and I was able to reinstall everything today. I attached a few before and after pictures, but it's hard to see the detail of the black surfaces.
