    S10 forum specs

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

go ahead and work the magic.

    Thanks man.

  2. No, he doesn't... the guy I have in mind... it's someone who played in a movie, and the character was funny... man I wish I didn't have memory problems... damn Iraq :(

OMG I FIGURED IT OUT!!! He looks similar to Matthew Lillard in this photo, an actor in movies such as Without A Paddle, the Scooby-Doo series, etc.

It shouldn't at all. Stick with a 50 profile, dropping to 45 will throw off your speedo. The 235 width fills out the 17x8's on mine just perfect, so going that wide with yours should be fine.

You doing this to just the stock wheels?

NAH THESE WOULD BE FOR THE AFTERMARKET RIMS, WOULD IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

ON TIRERACK.COM THE 235/45 ARE JUST 1/4 INCH SHORTER THAN THE 225/50

AND THE 235/50 ARE 1/4 TALLER THEN THE 225/50

  4. I WAS WANTING TO PURCHASE A SET OF 17 INCH RIMS FOR MY WIFE'S 2007 G6 SEDAN, THE WHEELS ARE 17X7.5 WITH A +35 OFFSET AND I'M HAVING TROUBLE DECIDING ON THE RIGHT SIZE TIRE. I WANT ALL THE WIDTH I CAN GET, WITHOUT RUB AND WITHOUT THE WHEELS SITTING OUT PAST THE FENDERS & LOOKING STUPID, WHICH I'M AFRAID THAT MIGHT HAPPEN WITH THE +35 OFFSET AND THE .5 INCH MORE ON WHEEL WIDTH, AND I AM AFRAID THE 45 SERIES WILL LOSE TO MUCH HEIGHT. WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS DO?

225/50/17-(stock size) will I still gain width with the stock size and a wider wheel?

    235/45/17

    235/50/17

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME PHOTO EXAMPLES PLEASE.

  5. Sounds like me.... or when somone leaves their greasy finger/hand prints on my doors right after I wash it... oh and I also hate when someone slams my doors closed!!! These 3 things drive me CRAZY, Ive accepted the fact that my floorboards/mats will not stay 100% clean ALL the time since it's my DD, so I've given up on that... :P

yeah I hate that too, but I prolly hate it most when they get out of the car and just let door fly 100mph open and it yanks and car bounces back and the door almost smacks the fender killing your door henges.

  6. yeah i do hate when my ride is dirty, the car just seems so much better clean, it ever feels faster.

but i would have to say my OCD is when i get a new part (like plugs, intake) that the car really dont even need and I put it on anyways, and in the process something jack's up and the car & runs like crap. then the car I still owe on aint running worth a lick, and its was fine before I messed with it. just kills my soul that I tried to fix something that wasn't broke, I dont know if its bad luck or what. :badGT:

IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T FIX IT!!! :P

The 2.2L & 2.4L Ecotec is very similar in power. Ghost is the only current 2.4L G6 owner on here IIRC, and he doesn't want to go down the 1/4.

Factoring in the weight and power similarities of the Ecotec powered G6 and Grand Am, my guestimate will be the closest thing you'll get until we get another 2.4L Ecotec powered G6.

I was only trying to provide you with info.

    yeah your right thanks man

  8. what kind of 1/4 mile times will my bone stock 2.4 2007 G6 churn out, some say its a slow 18 sec pass, which would be very disapointing. my 05 2.2 ecotec sunfire with e3 plugs and intake, automatic, ran a 16.30 @84.31 mph, which is a lighter car. Just curious on what I have to work with stock.

    anybody got a 2.4L G6 with quarter mile e/t's???

Alright, running into an issue here.

I have Baer Decela rotors, and I sourced them from my job, Autozone. But recently, they discontinued them. (ARGBLARG) and I was wondering, should I go out of my way for D/S rotors for the swap? Or stick with normal rotors?

    Also, pad compound.

I'm not happy with my ceramics. Should I switch to semi-metallic, or carbon metallic pad compound?

    Opinionz plz.

I have always had good luck out of semi-metallic, got good wear pattern, lasted a pretty good while and that's not to mention the stopping ability. Napa has there new line out that has copper in bedded into the pad. I just installed a new set on my father-in-laws car and he said they work great and much better compared (advance auto brand).

As for the rotors I would go as far as shopping around online, but as long as your not doing any high-end drag racing or the obvious road coarse...lol..the normals should do just fine, otherwise your going to run in to money and a lot of work, but that's my opinion

  11. I have 4 chrome 17" ers....

$325 plus actual shipping. Wheels only.

    DSC_0140.jpg

thats a good deal on the rims, look good, too. but danmccormick87 has a offered a wheel tire combo I can't refuse, so unless your willing to step it up a click.....i'm going with danmccormick87 he has also vowed to hold them for me for the next few days, so what have you got?

  12. Thats a turbo and tune thing Right??

You WILL throw a CODE and it WILL shift like SHIT!! I did it from a long time. In the cold it messed everything up and car would just die out and not stay running. I took intake off and ran no problems. I kept my code reset whenever it came on and it would shift ok. I tried just about everything making no changes to the car and still threw a code. I got my "tune" and was supposed to work with the intake it also did not work. I used a Cobalt 2.4L and it bolted up fine(rubbed on hood a little). My advice after spending some time and money into it DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

If you want all the detail let me know and i can type everything out later

yeah i was looking at the cobalt injen kit which doesn't need any mounts if you use short ram version and will def work, but its not a turbo thing just a stocker g6 2.4. You still say no go on kit? What about a cone and just removing the box and placing the cone on plastic intake tube? or is it even worth it.

  13. I have my stockers that I have been trying to get rid of, but they are 16s and come with tires... Trying to sell them for right around $350 which includes shipping, for the tires and rims, if interested, hit me up and I can send you some pictures. Or you can check out the for sale thread, where I have my aftermarket rims up for sale there...

sure post some photos and I will def check them out, cause my car still has hubs.

I will be getting my tax return back in the next 7-10 days, so when I get it consider the spoiler sold if you still have it, (tan right?) I hope you could hold it for me. If so I may just get the rims too if there alright. Thanks

the name is Mitchell by the way.
