Hello from Oakland, CA! New member with a 1988 Bonneville

Featured Replies

Hi. My name is Jack, I just bought a beautiful 1988 Bonneville LE from the second owner. It's like a museum piece, I have zero plans for it beyond lowering it on same-generation SSE wheels. My dad had two of these cars when I was a kid back in Cleveland, we only got rid of them when they rusted beyond saving. I found this and it brought back a ton of cool memories, my plans for it are daily driving and road trips with family and friends. With 109k I think it's got a lot of life in it, it even passed strict California smog by a wide margin.

Welcome

My brother bought a brand new black SSEi supercharged in 1991 or 92, I figured out how to bypass the boost limiter with a ball bearing in the vacuum hose. Boy did that thing do nice burnouts after that, too bad there was no video for YouTube in the day

welcome to FP!

Nice find!  Those are nice and the 3800 V6 is a great motor.
