Pontiac sunfire

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, im wondering if anyone has done any mods to a sunfire. I have a 2004 coupe 5 speed. I want to put a turbo kit on just wondering what it might cost and what troubles any of you had doing this. Thanks guys!

I am not sure about the turbo kit for it but the GM supercharger for that motor is about $2800 so probably expect to spend about the same amount for a good turbo.

I've seen some boosted Sunfires, didn't pay enough attention to look at the details though :(

Sure someone will be able to address your question, Sadie and Mark are some of our Sunfire faithful

welcome! and doesnt ZZP have something?

Boost = $$$$

Research all you can on forced induction.

What engine is in the Sunfire?

So you got the L61 to deal with, which is not a bad engine to boost.

There's a forum dedicated to high end performance for just the Ecotec engines, I forget the name of the forum off the top of my head...

I used to keep up with info on them because I was always helping two friends with L61 powered Grand Ams, haven't looked into those engines since 2011...

I'll find any info I have saved on my laptop and get back to ya.

ecotecforum.com?
