Hi everyone, joined after following on Facebook for some years. Lifelong GM fan here. My first Pontiac was a '93 Sunbird SE that replaced an '89 Impala that got totaled while I was changing duty stations when in the Navy. Wisconsin weather pretty much rusted out the lower doors and rockers and it was sold off to fund a move. I picked up my 2002 Collector Edition Trans Am in 2020 and have been slowly repairing and replacing parts on it as the previous owner pretty much only changed the oil. Somewhere down the line the factory radio was swapped for a Pioneer and Monsoon amp pulled so I redid the stereo to my liking, added sound dampening and new carpet.

I have been a long time Trans Am fan since seeing Smokey and the Bandit in elementary school, in the theaters a few times, and later Hooper and Knight Rider. I have researched my car and found its build number, CETA #1315 and this is the 1st year I have taken the car to local shows, it is not a show car but in pretty good share and condition. No intentions to hop up the power or race it but to drive and enjoy during good weather days. I will most likely only make improvements to the ride quality (strut tower braces, torque are upgrade, shocks/springs (most likely not lowering), etc. I have joined a local Pontiac car club and attended a couple of events and hope to keep this up in 2027.

I grew up on a farm so learned to be a mechanic to keep the farm equipment running and helped build my first engine (1980 Chevy 5.7L for a Custom Deluxe 3/4 ton standard) my senior year in high school. I pretty much maintained that car and did all the mechanic work on my Impala and Sunbird. I love cars and most things automotive, pre 1992 as it was just easier to work on and fix before computers got heavily involved.
