West MIchigan Pontiac Club Summer Cruise In

I took half a day off on Friday to drive 2 hours (one way) to Holland Michigan for the West Michigan Pontiac Club's (POCI Chapter #48) annual summer charity cruise-in event. They raise money for hospice and suicide prevention. It was an open car show but the Pontiac brand was well represented. I had to take Violet since Lucy and Black Beauty aren't playing nice right now.

Violet and my new friends, a '67 GTO (the owner has owned it for the last 50 years!) and a '69 Firebird.

A '32 Packard

This '57 is nearly perfect in my eyes. If only it were a convertible. Something about a Robin's Egg Blue '57 gets me.

Outside of the Packard, I thought this was the most intriguing car on the lot. A '32 Chevy powered by a Buick Nailhead V8. That outta piss of the Chevy purists (which I love to do) who a Chevy should power everything.

Turns out this is a '55 Corvette. I thought it might be a '53 or '54.

I was surprised to see this guy again. This is Geo Metro made to look like something else. I didn't expect to see him on the west side of the state.

I honestly have to say that this next vehicle is not something I would ever expect to show up at a car cruise.......a submersible/submarine! A one-man submersible.....hope you are not claustrophobic.

It is rated to 100 feet. The owner has only taken it to a max of 40-feet. This vehicle is now retired because the seals need to be replaced.
