Please to meet you! My user name is "Burly" & just wanted to say Hello & Thanks to all the Forever Pontiac folks!

I have been Pro Pontiac since I was 12yr. My entire family 3 brothers, 2 sisters & parents were all Ford folks? I was also until my older brother broke ranks & bought a 1955 Pontiac. I still like Fords & lots of different makes. Most of my family worked @ the area Ford Stamping Plant! But I never got over the Pontiac bug? At 16yro, the 1st car I licensed was a '56 Pontiac 2dr coupe. Very 1st day I launched the engine. Paid $60 for it. Had a lot of miles on it. Seems a valve stem wore a hole right through the rocker arm, knocked the keeper off & the the valve detonated the piston? A couple years & three engines later I sold it to my buddy. Then bought a '60 Catalina 2dr sedan , 3 speed , tri power. My younger brother was to use it, for taking care of it, when a bunch of us got drafted? He didn't have the same passion for cars as me? To say the least, it wasn't in very good shape in 1969 when I got home? So I went looking for a '66 GTO 389ci tri power, 4speed coupe. Came home with my '69 GTO Judge & it's been with me ever since! That's a story for another time! Sorry to ramble on so! Burly, '69 GTO Judge, '68 GTO Conv '62 Pontiac GP '56 Pontiac '53 Ford F100 '31 Pontiac 5wd coupe

Welcome Burley.. Thanks for your service !! I like, bought a 1967 GTO when returning from NAM in 1967. Saw a picture of one, promised myself, if you make it back to the world. You would buy a 67 ragtop. So i did. After many years ,I now have a 1967 Bonneville, Convertible. Always great to hear from another vet. Butch
