Hello, My name is Mark. I have a 1960 Venture Sport with the original 389 4 barrel. Its mahogany with a shelltone white roof. Interior is 242 tri-color fawn. In my teens and 20s I owned a 1967 GTO 400 4 speed, the love of my life car wise. This began my love of Pontiacs. I bought this Ventura about 9 years ago to make a full early 60's custom but the thing was SO original with SO many options that I felt I owed it to the car to keep it factory stock. This car came with 6 way power seats, all the windows are power except the wings, power antenna, remote drivers side mirror, 2 speed windshield wipers with squiters, the fancier steering wheel, interior courtesy lights, padded dash, EZ Eye green tint glass,..... probably more but I'm not all that familiar with this model. This car is all original except for the wheels, tires, gas tank, and windshield squirter bottle, and a few misc small parts. It was purchased by a gentleman in Anaheim California on December 24th 1959 and spent many years parked under a tarp in his backyard. Sometime about 2012 a friend bought it and moved it to Tucson where it sat for 2 years before I bought it and shipped it to Minnesota where I'm from and plan to move back to someday. It sits in my friends shop and whenever I'm in town I putz with it. The interior was really nice but dried out. I pulled the whole interior out and was happy to see the floors were solid as a rock, not even surface rust. I bought a whole new interior for it from SMS, carpet, door panels, seats, headliner, etc, but I haven't put it in yet. Recently I pulled all the glass out and replaced it with the factory green tint. While the glass was out I had the roof shot with the factory shell tone white. I sent all the interior chrome to a plater who absolutely ruined it by grinding and polishing all the features away, so I am in need of some interior bits. I managed to find a factory tri-power set up coded from 1960 but I'm not sure it will ever be put on. Just cool to have. Well Thats about it. Looking forward to meeting you all, learning more about my car, and maybe finding some of the parts I'm in need of. Sorry for the novel 🙂
