Kiwi - there's a mob in the US that specialise in suspension but I cannot remember the name. I should have bought all my lowered springs from them.

Just looked it up: Jamco.

they only do lowering springs, i can get my spring guys to do that, i fancy going next level with a dropped spindle. justA need to know if all 63-64 B bodys have the same spindles ???

and still cant find anyone who does a air ride for 63-64 pontiacs, anyone see it done ?

I spent quite a bit of time a couple years ago looking at putting air ride on my GP bro. I found a couple kits to do the front suspension on eBay but I couldn't find anybody building anything for the rear (without swapping to a 9" or 4 link) Best that I could come up with was to fabricate a set of cups and weld them in for the bags to go into for the rear. I finally gave up and justa decided to go the route that's on her now. Hope you can find a way to get low!!! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with bro.

a Air ride would be bees knees, and because its a gm front end, thats the easy part, i recon i could order a impala front kit and it would work, but rear ? spring sit on top of the diff, shocks hange off the back... i might need to fabricate a bracket, weld it onto the axle tube and mount the bag/shock off that i think.......

 i will keep looking

i am sure i am not the first crazy pontiac guy to want to do this... its justA finding who has done it.:dancingpontiac:

oh and this isnt for the 64 !!!!!

Oh yes, very funny...just because some maniac doesn't have any hair doesn't mean they automatically look like me! I thought discrimination was frowned upon in today's modern society - clearly, the 'Have Hair' peeps are taking advantage of us follically challenged types. Well, I'll have y'all know my hairstyle drives the ladies wild. Keep your silly rats nests on top of your heads!

Us have not's only have more forehead to wash instead of the having to shampoo N condition crowd.  :slap:

....you still get to pay full price for a hair cut too? You don't get a quantity discount for being folically challenged!

:slap:   That why ya put on a goatee. Even the score.  Shaving is easy with your Norrelco or Trimming with the electric clippers takes no skill.  Bzzzz  Bzzzz Bzzzz done!

Kiwi, what are you wishing to lower it for? Looks, handling, both? I ask because there are different things to do, obviously, but some will produce one result & others will produce another. In some case you might get a result you don’t want. So thus my question.

Both Last indian!:dancingpontiac:

.As we know, a drop spindle provides full suspsnsion movement, a chopped spring doesnt.

and this isnt for my 64  this is for something special i am working on.....

its in the concept stage justA at the moment....

i am hoping that someone out there can say "yes chris a impala stub axle fits a pontiac"

i may be dreaming !!!

You are bang on Kiwi! I suspected that was the case, but needed to ask to have a direction to point. Air bags/shocks are ok & have some advantages if you wish to change riding height at times. Springs tend to be more precise.
There is a company here in the states that might fit the bill for the front end swap. BMR. I run their suspension components on the Indian. See the link. https://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=1272 this is a front end swap to coil overs that are adjustable which eliminates suspension travel issues. Likewise they have a kit to change over the rear axle. These are for the A body Chevys which are the counterpart for the b body Pontiac’s. You might have to swap out the rear axle for a Chevy not sure. https://www.bmrsuspension.com/index.cfm?page=products&productid=2325
Obviously you need to research this further to make sure it will fly so I would call them & see if this might work. Obviously some mods would need done.

@64 kiwi boni I'm fairly certain that an Impala front end will only be compatible with yours if yours is a Canadian or Australian rhd car (ie: Chevy chassis).

When I did up my front brakes I couldn't find '61 spindles so had to go '63/'64 & change over drums, backing plates & all, as even they were different. Even the Impala wheel cylinders are different (won't fit our backing plates), as I was sent some of those too, & ended up gutting those to rebuild my Pontiac cylinders.
