I put in a re-manufactured starter on my 95' TA with the LT1.

The car starts fine and runs fine, but when she's cranking it sounds like a weird whining sound, similar to a screeching fan belt. But the car starts smooth and runs smooth.

I thought maybe it wasn't lined up with the flywheel but I talked to a mechanic buddy of mine and he said that it'll go away after the starter is used enough. Says its the sound all new starters make? Any input or advice?

Does anyone know how long it'll take to change the plugs and wires on a 2000 Grand Prix GTP?? Just looking for the labour time. Another forum had it at 1.5 hours.

Any advice guys? Trying to see if my mechanic is trying to make some quick cash...

I've heard people say it could be "the gear"? Which means it has power, just the internal gear needs replacing, I can get the part for $20. Apparently it happens on the Vette's motor alot too?

I have a '95 Trans-am, my pass. side headlight motor burnt out. Looking to get one off ebay (avg. around $200). My GM dealers listed at $500 (Employee Discount).

Any suggestions on other places to track down a Headlight Motor?

Can say I've actually always driven GM at least...

Parents had nothing but GM, one Ford lol

Anyone have ideas for a very, VERY good Performance Chip to add some power to the already powerful LT1 from a Trans-am??

As for my love, it's my '95 Trans-am, 5.7L LT1, SLP Performance Package, bunch of SLP mods on her...silver on black, t-top, riding on the 17"x9.5" chromes from the WS6...no lie, can go on about her forever, that's right...her! lol
