  1. Wanted to buy one when they first came out. But since I was forced into early retirement last August (Health issues. Doctors orders) I've become more frugal. Either fill up one of my Pontiacs so I can have some fun or put a shirt on my back. There is really no choice there. The gas always wins out. LOL

In your house or in your community? I suspect the former not the latter.

Heck isn't that the reason we bought sports cars and muscle cars in the first place? To get chicks?

    In my community. LOL!

Ummm...errr....all guys and certain women like boobs.

If I wore something like that...people would think I was suddenly one of those certain women! ROTF!

  3. I don't blame you. I was trained to use them in Shop in High School. But I never did like it. I know that people use them for years without issue, then there is the other side of the coin, the horror stories.

The money? Well I have been in that same situation over and over through the years. Should I risk doing something, or should I fork out the money and go the safer route? That's when a little voice pops into my head and says...

  4. I nominate my 1984 Trans Am with t-tops (affectionately known as "Phoenix"). Automatic (700R4). All original with the exception of a 350 EFI engine put in when the original owner's daughter blew the 305. I am the second owner. Vehicle VERY well kept up. "Survivor" classification. Paint has never even been touched up.

  5. I have an all original (except the engine which was upgraded to a 350) 1984 Trans Am (photo in icon). I am the second owner. Purchased this car last month.

The speedometer is accurate until it hits 50 MPH then everything starts getting faster (for lack of a better word) by 5 miles. If it says 60 you are doing 55, 65 = 60, 70 = 65, etc. How can we fix that?

    Thanks!

  6. Have to update this thread. I was only guessing at the miles because I could only see half the odometer. SOmething had fell down in front of it and when my mechanic got in there come to find out it was a piece of paper. (?????. Weird!) The car actually only has 22,000 on it. The previous owner is a friend of mine and he said the odometer has never rolled over. The car was not a daily driver. Just a toy for the weekends.
