Amid all the four-wheeled fabulosity of Monterey Car Week, the Concours d’LeMons stands out as a breath of musty, foul-smelling air. The dirty, the rusty, and the decrepit are celebrated here—making it a necessary ballast against the gleaming perfection elsewhere on the peninsula. Plus, it’s held at a public park—and there’s no admission fee, thus making it well worth your time.

But it is to the show field that we invite you to come along. We concentrated on the vehicular lowlights, shooting until—fittingly—our camera died. Or maybe it just couldn’t take any more. Click through to the gallery to share in the misery.
