Good news for Mother Mopar fans. The Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills Michigan is re-opening to the public starting June 4, 2016. The museum will be open two weekends a month. The museum closed on December 31, 2012 when it failed to sustain itself after it was spun off as self-sustaining charitable organization after the 2008 recession and Chrysler bankruptcy. Unfortunately, at the time, the museum could not maintain itself.

Since then, the museum has become a destination for business meeting and presentation hall. Once it became self-sustaining on that basis, they realized there was a pent up demand to use the facility as it was designed, as a museum. So now it is being re-opened as a museum once again. I, for one, am glad to see it re-open.
