The Tesla Model X isn’t being left out of all the hype surrounding the new Model 3 and the revised Model S, as the all-electric crossover now has an upgraded base model called the 75D. As you might guess from its name, the 75D has a 75-kWh battery pack instead of the outgoing 70D‘s 70-kWh battery, which improves range from 220 miles up to 237 miles. The D also signifies that all-wheel drive remains standard thanks to the Model X’s dual-motor arrangement.

Tesla again claims a 0-to-60-mph time of 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph, so the larger battery pack doesn’t improve performance. The price, however, does go up a bit compared to the 70D. The 75D starts at $84,200, $3000 more than the 70D. Options include a third row of seats ($3000 for a six-seat arrangement and $4000 for the seven-seat version), Autopilot capability ($2500), an upgraded 72-amp charger ($1500), or a towing package ($750). Still, the 75D offers significant savings compared to the $96,700 Model X 90D or the high-performance, $116,700 Model X P90D.
