I bought my 67 GTO last month and it has trim rings from a much later model on it.  I would like to replace them, but not necessarily with the stock 67 versions. My car has 15X7 (obviously not original) Rally II's and I would like to go with a trim ring that doesn't have a flat cone surface and not a brushed finish. I think I'm looking for something later model, possibly 69 GTO/Firebird that has a curved surface and a stepped lip. Anyone have any suggestions on the model that had these from the factory and where I might find some reproduction rings? I've tried looking at NPD, OPGI and Ames, but it's hard to tell a a lot about the details from the pictures they provide. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I attached a picture of what I'm looking for (not my car in the picture).

I wanna see more pic's of the car!  :lol2:   Like what you have on the trim rings, but 68-70 is the curved pieces your reffering to. I have a pair, but sure I don't have a set.

Dang!... wish I could help you there Rick, but I like my rally II's with no trim rings. Sounds like you are looking in the right places- you might add Year One and Classic Industries (Firebird). I stored my original 14" rally II's and trim rings, and like you, I now run 15x7's (with 235/60 tires).

Finally decided to just go with the factory looking trim rings. I must say I'm very pleased with the look of these rings as compared to the others that were on the car when I bought it.

The new ones are in the second picture.

Looks awesome Rick! :dancingpontiac: It's amazing what a liitle change makes sometimes... the new trim rings make your Rally II's look much deeper.

Where did you find the new ones? My trim rings dont look as deep as yours do.Nice Look!

I don't see a problem.....so long as you still have both the Lemans and cash.
