Caught by a dashcam in an unknown location, it looks like the truck driver saw the red light too late and the icy road prevented him from even having a chance to stop at the light.

We don't want to spoil the ending for you, but we will point out that had the pedestrian crossing the street been paying as little attention as the truck driver, this story would have had a much worse ending. Scroll down to watch the video.
Continue reading Watch this shocking car transporter crash captured on dashcam

Watch this shocking car transporter crash captured on dashcam originally appeared on Autoblog on Wed, 27 Feb 2013 20:02:00 EST. It is for pedestrians. We have them downtown where I work, they're annoying and nobody uses them. Everybody runs across the road when there's a bunch of cars coming even though as well there is a crosswalk 20 feet down the road which they could use but that would be too safe and easy.

Have them here too on Route 5 in West Springfield. So annoying because they are on a timer....

anddd screw where you guys live. Make regulations to car companies for minimum mpg's and yet you have these stupid things making mpg's worse.

and where I live after 11pm (maybe 12 on fri and sat) there are a few lights that'll flash instead of switching. but almost every light in town should be that way as I drive that late and there is almost no need except for one major road (8-10 lanes)
