TA world NAILED IT!!!!  Badass:bowdown:

Time to start buying used V6 Camaros for cheap and converting them.

What concerns me is Trans Am World/Depot is advertising the Chevelle 70/SS but not their Trans Am. What is up with that? Are they done producing TAs? Their website seems very vague.

Saw a pretty recent airing of their show couple weeks ago.  I had never seen that one before.

I saw it when it first came out. It's only 4 episodes long. I think the brother doing the restoration work seriously screwed up the Olds wagon. Without talking to the customer, I would NOT have gone the LS route with the rebuild. I would have built a beefer Olds motor.

Also, why the hell didn't he talk to his customer to clarify his wishes for the car? Dumb and costly mistake in you ask me.

I eagerly anticipated this series when I first heard about it.  After the first episode I thought surely it would get better! It didn’t!!
I agree with Frosty about the Olds wagon , big misstep not consulting the customer.
I personally don’t like that Camaro/Chevelle conversion. To my eye, Camaro proportions just don’t work for intermediate sized vintage muscle car  pretenders.  They still look like faintly disguised Camaros.

And for my final rant,  “restored” ( and I use the term loosely like they do) Pontiacs older than 1982 don’t ALL need to be LS or corporate engine powered.  There are enough Pontiac engine builders and aftermarket parts available to keep them all Pontiac.

I guess when it comes down to it, it’s your car, your choice.  It’s just not mine.

To piggy back onto what 31pontiac stated, I was also eager to watch this show. However, it highlighted for me how I can probably never afford one of their cars. They are awesome re-designs of the Camaro while still paying tribute to Pontiac's past. I need about $200k in the bank to afford a new Trans Am or a proper restoration. Makes the pool of customers extremely narrow.

LS or LT conversions are nice. They've become the SBC conversion of the last 20 years. They are not the be all/ end all conversion though. Swapping out a 326 or 350 for a 455 makes a lot of sense with a lot less cost and the need for specialty parts like custom motor mounts, headers and a new oil pan.
