Hi, Im trying to find a retro stereo that looks like the original radio and fits without modification. Is the original radio the same size as the chevrolet from 1964?

Welcome to FP! One of these two sites might have something that will get you close. The retro sound site is interesting because it offers a retro look with modern options.

Sorry Mats  can’t answer that question. I would think they are the same basic configuration that you could make it work, but I don’t want to tell you yes & be wrong. I would suggest emailing the companies with that question, they possibly might be able to answer it.

I finished install a Retro Sound radio in my '72 Lemans awhile ago. You can sort of make it out in this photograph

The radio knobs are not 100% correct, but look close enough at this point. This radio is bluetooth compatible, has provisions for USB connections, and with an external microphone can be hands free compatible.

Any GM with a knob on both sides is a standard size and square middle.  Might have to make jumpers for the wiring harness to make it work.  The AM radio I have in my 66 GTO will fit in Frosty's or even my 80 Sunbird, after that they started with the square modules.
