200r4 swap

Featured Replies

Trying to swap in a 200r4 trans but can’t seem to get existing crossmember to move back enough or removed. It hits the floor body. It seems to  trapped in the grove for the crossmember. Has anyone had this problem and how was it resolved

Thanks I ordered that but still have to get the old one out. Have you used that crossmember? Can I slide it in with the trans in?

Sorry no experience with it. My 3rd gen Trans Am still has the original drivetrain in it. Although I’ve considered getting a 200 4R for my LeMans convertible.

I think they twist to come out ? Been years since I pulled the trans on my gen 2 camaro

You may need to undo your body to front chassis to get the space between floor and frame …. Good time to fit new mount bushes too 👍

Thanks I had to loosen the body mounts to get it out
