My 469 cu TH400 trans has always shifted very quickly. Just crossing the street it was in 3rd gear. 

I figured it was because the original rear end was long gone when i bought the car and a 3:55 posi was installed.

The original gear was a 2:78 iirc

So today i spent the day pulling the Governor and modifying the inner weights by removeing some metal alittle at a time 

removing cutting some metal off reinstalling checking pulling it again and again...

after removing 2 grams of metal equally off each weight i was finally where i want to be!!

WOT didnt change alot but it shifts alot better around town etc..Very Happy!

Then i found this article...Thanks Mr Paine!

I ended up with roughly B in the article below.

2nd to 3 is right at 5k rpms
