Working on a 69 firebird with a 69 400 out of a gto the timing chain busted and the motor has been cranked over so I have to worry about bent valves?

Sorry to say, yes you do.  One step farther is the pistons.  That's what bent the valves, if it did.  Have seen pistons with holes right through.  If it was in the middle of a high rev when the chain snapped, could be all the cyls.  Keep us up on what you find. Good luck.

Thank you for your info I guess I’ll pull the heads

I would also pull the valley pan. I suspect you also have bent push rods if you have valve and piston damage. This is probably going to turn into a complete tear down and inspection.
