67 GTO shock recommendations

Recommended Posts

Installed Gabriel shocks when I began the rebuilding process about 15 years ago.   I believe that I could refine the ride .What to upgrade from the  current shocks. What would be a good replacement to enhance the ride quality . Want modern ride quality and handling but don't want to perform suspension upgrade at this time.

Love the QA1's I installed on the front of my 66.  Coil over, full adjustable ride, even the ride height.  Pricey but awesome.   I have built in an oldskool rake into my GTO so I kept my rear setup.  If your keeping original stance without wanting to changing suspension parts, would use them in the back as well.  Probably wouldn't need the coilover in the rear saving some $$$, but still have the adjustable ride quality your lookin for.

To be clear on QA1 shocks, they have both single and double adjustable shocks. The double adjustable are more expensive than the singles, but are much more tunable. So be prepared cost wise. I have also had QA1s in the past.
