The Chevy purists that think a Chevy motor should be in everything, but especially in a Chevy! A "corporate" motor means it's still a Chevy motor, not a Buick, Olds, Pontiac, or Cadillac powered.

Wonder what the #’s comparing how many Chev motors to Pontiac motors r, not sure where to find the info but if’d b interesting. Betting Chev made more than Pontiac, Buick, & Caddy combined 😂

No too sure about that. When I was still at GM Powertrain, there was a small celebration of sorts, that GM had made over 100 million small block Chevys since it's introduction in 1955 and retired in 2003. So I sort of doubt that if you summed up all Caddy, Buick, Olds, and Pontiac V8 production (including the three years GMCs had Pontiac V8s) it would not come close.

Here’s an interesting article. While it’s doubtful GM would bring Pontiac back it’s the most searched question on the internet of any brand Brand of vehicle by a wide margin 🤔 .https://www.motorbiscuit.com/most-searched-dead-brand-is-pontiac-will-gm-bring-it-back/
