I'm installing a MSD ready to run distributor and the cap has male terminals like a HEI, can a set of small block Chevy HEI spark plug wires fit ? so I don't have to make my own wires an would be cheaper in the long run

Try something like the Moroso Mag-Tune spark plug wire set from Summit Racing. It will fit SBC, Olds and Pontiac V8s for HEI. Now I am assuming that MSD and GM HEI male terminals are the same.
