Slipping Equinox

Featured Replies

I have a buddy with an Equinox that has some slipping issues. When he is driving, just randomly the car would act like if it went into neutral and the car would rev up.

Anything that any of the torrent guys can relate to?

is it going down hill and the it upshifts? i aint no mechanic :lol2:

Gah, Topix. That site is very hard to take seriously at times...

What's the mileage on the Equinox? Has he kept up on transmission fluid intervals? Filter change? How hard is he on the car? There are numerous factors that can cause transmission slippage.

he is a car junky so he takes care of his car like most of us who care about our cars do. everything is on time. fluids always topped off, etc. nothing that can really cause mechanical issues though.

their are no hills in south TX at all. :)

Necroposting but, My father has an Equinox and it had some really weird issues. For example, when you use the key to open the door, the car alarm goes off.... what the hell? haha. There were a few others but that's the one I remember the most because it freaked my brother out.
