Hi there, when I had the alternator replaced, the bracket came as an option to it. I ordered mine online, it was an aftermarket piece (https://www.carid.com/alternators/), and there was a dropdown menu allowing to pick the options. So there I selected the bracket. Must say, it was slightly different from the OE one I had originally, though it still worked fine. That was my solution.

If the sound varies with the engine rpm, most likely the problem's in the pump. The other reasons for that, which come to my mind, are a clogged filter, or too thick steering fluid (maybe cold weather influenced the density). I would also think of the fluid level, but you say it's fine...
