Sorry for another random question, I'm not very smart when it comes to cars. My heater core went out and I had it replaced. Now my climate control lights quit working. It bugs me when I can't see them at night. Any idea how to get it working. All of my fuses are good. And if I have to, how do I take the dash off? My car is a 97 grand am se.

A while back my 97 grand am ignition locked up. I didn't have any problems with it, it was very random. I bought an aftermarket ignition and had a mechanic put it in. Now my theft light is constantly coming on and turning off the car. I have reset the key several times (10 min trick). Could I of just got a bad part from the store? I didn't know if buying an original GM ignition would make it work or if there could be another problem with car?
