65 Tempest Convertible

Recommended Posts

Hello world.

I just bought and 65 Tempest. Looks and runs really good. I need to work on the stopping, but no big deal. Someone added Disk brakes but did not upgrade the master cylinder.

Are there some standards in which fans of this car like to see maintained. I would assume 24" wheels would be a huge NO NO. Well at least it is for me. I thought about lowering it until I put gas in it. It would be a real pain in my neck if I lowered it.

I was looking for something fun to play with. Rat rods are always in my heart, but this car will not make it that direction. I have been wanting a Hot Rod and convertible. Now I do.

Thinking of upgrading the motor and transmission.

World good by for now.

I am in agreement with Ringo, something clean and tasteful. I would not go much larger than 17" wheels- 18" max. If you upgrade the motor, keep it Pontiac... DO NOT install a chevy engine. Here's a good example...

welcome to FP! first, its your car so mod your way. and we are just a little more open/friendly here. i like that classic clean look. give it the stance that JUSTA6's GTO has.
