Why do I keep looking

Found on Kijiji. 1971 Dodge tow truck (boom and straps, and wheel lift) Almost exactly what my dad used to drive when Pratt and Whitney went on strike.

Needs a motor and trans ... but it would need that even if the originals were there. $2k canuck bucks. If the winch and hydraulics work, that's a steal.

So does my wife. That makes it a trifecta. What's your point?

Hi honey, you remember my evil friend, Frosty, from Miichigan? You and the kids met him once at Woodward? Well he told me about this great tow truck opportunity. It has no motor or transmission but it's here in Canada and only costs $2000.00. Wanda say sweetheart we get another vehicle that we can use for lawn art!

Hell, phrased like that, she'll totally believe it. 'Cept I'd only say that you convinced me it was a great deal because the old rotten motor and trans are already pulled so I don't have to pull them myself. Heck, balanced against the cost of CAA, it would pay for itself in 10 years. Less if I do a couple of tows a year for friends.
