GTO goes NASCAR

Made the 300 mile trek to Daytona to attend our first major car show of the year by attending the 42nd Annual Daytona Turkey Rod Run. A four day event that will see 6K+ show cars in a four day event at the Daytona Motor Speedway. With 4:11 gears, we took a slew of back country single lane highways that provided a true American background for our trip. I'll post pics over the next few days, but I wanted to share the experience of driving under the Daytona speedway via some very steep tunneling. Quite a cool experience.

Along with three others, I helped develop a car show for Mustangs a few years back and we rented the Daytona Motor Speedway for a weekend and I was able to take my Roush Cobra around the track for a lap. Enjoyed it and will never forget that moment. Quite an experience. The car show never realy gained any traction over the years, just too tough to compete with Mustang Week but it was a great experience to be a part of. That Roush Cobra was super fast and rare. Only one of 5 built in 2004.600 RWHP!!!                            I miss that beast!
