Wow. This place has changed a whole crap load. It looks like Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor decided to remodel the forum.

Neat picture Joe. It is John Beal's Jury. I have a whole bunch of pictures of his Jury. He is the original owner of the one of the original 25 Stampede Pontiac issued Jurys. I have pictures of this Jury with Lucy to explain to people what a "Jury" is.

I'd love to, my new job has the most restrictive Internet access know to mankind. It honestly blocks FP. Go figure. I have not had much spare time in the evenings with the kid lately either with him being in fall baseball and cross country. Both just ended so hopefully I will have some more time on nights and weekends.

Frosty that Polar White GTO COULD come with a black spoiler as a factory installed option. It was rare but it was an option. There is a famous advertising picture that shows the option and if you remember Quint Stires, a regular contributor of High Performance magazine owned one of these factory optioned combos. Ill go see if I can find the advertising pic showing that option in use.

"Bigger than the previous year, on the Judge there was a standard rear wing spoiler in body color or (WT7 option) black, gloss black Ram Air hood inlets, and an optional black front-end chin spoiler.  The icing on the cake was a wild decal package (even more outlandish than the 1969 Judge), which consisted of psychedelic stripes over each wheel well and Judge logos.   For 1970, the Judge could be ordered in any 1970 GTO exterior color along with one non-GTO color.  The color was a new Judge exclusive for 1970 called Orbit Orange.  The only problem with owning an Orbit Orange Judge was with its wild graphics and bright exterior color it easily garners attention from your friendly law enforcement officer holding a radar gun."

Well I wonder how many people opted for the gloss black spoiler vs. the standard body color?

Thanks 360, I learned something today.

Since it was a no charge alternative appearance scheme that was tied to only one paint color, Polar White, WT7 doesn't appear on PHS shipping invoices or reproduction window invoices. WT7 shows up on build sheets but it varies from plant to plant how it appears. Production totals on WT7 Judges are known but specific breakdowns by plant aren't available. For 1970 they produced 51 WT7 Judges. It was offered again in 1971 but only 15 cars were sold. It would seem strange that the year Pontiac took the trouble to list the WT7 option in their brochures that sales would tank, but that's what happened. For that matter, The Judge model was dropped along with the convertible early before winter was even over.  What is the difference between a normal white paint Judge and a WT7 Judge? Good question. Normally the Polar White paint code is matched to a set of eyebrow stripes that are blue, yellow and red in color. The rear spoiler is painted white to match. On a WT7 scheme Judge, the eyebrow stripes are black, red and yellow and the spoiler along with the hood scoops are painted gloss black

SInce graibeal joined FP recently and he has his father's 1-of-25 original 1970 Lemans Jury from Stampede Pontiac, I thought it only fitting to update this thread with pictures that graibeal has posted of his father's car.
