Hi from Caribbean

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

New from Curaçao, a small island in the South of the Caribbean. Right between Aruba and Bonaire.

I'm driving a 1981 Catalina Safari and it suits me very good. The perfect surfmobile, fold the rear seat and my 9"6' sits nicely out of the rear window.

It does need some work.... too bad there's only one '81 catalina on the island, so to get parts localy is a big issue. Somebody had taken out the original engine and put in a 1975 chevy nova 262 V8, so there's a whole lot lack of power. A new/bigger engine is on my to do list, but that list is becoming quite long.

Question (not sure if I can post that in here)

To find parts online for this car is not very easy. It looks like the Chevy Caprice Wagon is similar except for front of the car. Does anybody have experience with caprice parts on catalina wagons? That makes my search window a bit bigger.

Sunny greets,

:welcome: Cool Pontiac surf wagon!  :dancingpontiac:

Like Choas said, it is a sister car to the Chevy Caprice, so except from some specific trim pieces, you should be good with Caprice parts.
