Hello all I just joined. Im from New Orleans I have a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix I have owned it since 1999. It was a daily driver for quite awhile. I turned it into a show car several years a go. It has won it class several time in the World of Wheels here in New Orleans

I thought GTPs came with the LQ1 engine?

Either way, you've done a nice amount to the existing L82.

Ever thought of doing an LX9 swap? Or an LA1/LX9 hybrid build swap once the current engine gives up?

IMO, I wouldn't. Mainly for two reasons:

>the LS4 had a limited aftermarket. Not as mod friendly as its LSx siblings

>front wheel drive and V8s don't mix.

I mainly recommended sticking with the 60*V6 setup since swapping in an LX9/LA1 is cake AND WOT-Tech has lots of goodies for those engines. Plus, they can handle boost pretty well and can be manual swapped via the 282 Getrag five speed.

Eh...I'm just not fond of FWD when it comes to performance. Torque steer, under steer, bad weight distribution, etc etc.

That's just me. I'm just glad GM stopped building FWD V8 cars.
