But they're made of carbon fiber and metal, not glass. That's where the car in this promo clip differs.<br /><br />Launched last month at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/brazilian+grand+prix/">Brazilian Grand Prix</a> as part of Johnnie Walker's campaign against drunk driving, the clip features an F1 car recreated out of whisky tumblers to illustrate what can happen when liquor and driving are mixed into the same scenario.<br /><br />The CGI reproduction of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/mclaren/">McLaren</a> car - which Johnnie Walker sponsors - is said to be accurate down to 3 millimeters, "filmed" at 300 frames per second in a process that took 100 gigabits of data to create. Whether it effectively proves the point or not, it's a cool clip to watch (complete with one <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/mika+hakkinen/">Mika Hakkinen</a>), so check it out <a href="/2013/12/24/johnnie-walker-mclaren-broken-glass-video/#continued">below</a>.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2013/12/28/johnnie-walker-mclaren-broken-glass-video/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Johnnie Walker smashes a virtual F1 car made of glass</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2013/12/28/johnnie-walker-mclaren-broken-glass-video/">Johnnie Walker smashes a virtual F1 car made of glass</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 28 Dec 2013 19:01:00 EST.
