  • Welcome to Forever Pontiac

We are a community of Pontiac enthusiasts. The purpose of our community is to keep alive the Pontiac spirit by sharing (or showing off) our cars, discussing Pontiac, helping each other work on our cars and find information, plus attend various meets/shows/etc... To aid discussion, sharing, event planning and selling of parts/cars/anything, we have various parts of the website to aid this from Forums to an online Garage to Classifieds to even a Document Download Repository. You can find links to these in our navigation above based on what each section helps with (discussion, local events, learning, etc...).

We invite you to contribute, find help or just view some of our member's amazing cars! Don't forget, we also have great contests from time to time (like our Pontiac of the Month and yearly calendar contest) and our Pontiac This OR That, a fun game where you choose the best of two randomly selected Pontiacs from our online garage.

We look forward to seeing you around!

Here's a brand we haven't written about in some time. Isuzu is recalling 8,816 2003 Rodeo Sports and 2003 to 2004 Rodeo and Axiom models that are registered in just about any state that uses salt on winter roads. That means Isuzu owners in states as far east as Maine, as far south as Kentucky and as far west as Minnesota will need to report in with their vehicles for repairs. This recall follows a previous corrosion-related issue for 2002 Axioms and Rodeos.

The problem, which is no doubt exacerbated by road salt, has to do with corrosion around the forward mounting point for the lower link of the rear suspension. Needless to say, when any part of the suspension begins to rust apart it's very bad for handling.

Based on the severity of the corrosion, Isuzu owners will have three recourses. Owners with little to no rust will have the area treated with an anti-corrosion compound. Owners with some rust will have a reinforcement plate fitted, and in the most severe cases, Isuzu will buy back the cars for the Kelley Blue Book "Private Party" price.

Take a look below for the full bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, including a complete listing of states with affected vehicles.
